Inspire healthy organizations,
culture, and leadership
Keynote Speaker
I love seeing my calendar fill up with opportunities to speak at events, summits, and conferences. Please consider including some of these topics in your programme, I'd would be more than happy to brainstorm on speaker notes and talk directly into some of the pain points you would like addressing.
Areas of impact that my presentations have had:
-
Organizations are so focused on adding diversity into a workplace that they don’t fully understand what inclusion means. In my presentations, I decode the research around inclusion and indemnity thereof. I bring it into organizational life by providing practical tools for becoming a truly inclusive organization.
-
Most of us are uncomfortable talking about character because we view it as something deeply personal and largely unchangeable. Even now, no useful leadership model includes character as the most critical, foundational attribute of leadership. Through my keynotes, I explore the importance of character, what character traits people want to be in proximity of, and how character work can impact individuals and organizations.
-
Only a tiny percentage of today's workforce is truly engaged. Most people are quiet quitters. Leaders are challenged by the demands of meeting KPIs and this could be an understandable blocker of taking responsibility of inclusion in their workforce. Ownership is the key to ensuring engagement. I love to decrypt what it means to really win at engagement. How do we recognize when people actually take full ownership of their work? And then, what can we do about it?
-
High performing teams are not formed by the most intelligent people from prestigious universities. Something else helps a group become a cohesive team and gives them a competitive advantage. In this keynote, I talk about the five functions of an effective team and what it takes from individuals and leaders to establish high performing teams.
-
Humanocracy — We start with the human because performance depends on who they are, how they feel, their talents, passions, experience, and the mastery they bring to work every day. It is hard and ambitious, but it's incredible to see what happens when we start with the human.
-
AI is being welcomed into the global workforce and subsequently human engagement is at 23%. In this keynote I break down whether or not we are thriving or striving at work? Are we able to design our careers for thriving through change in pace, demand and technology. I help individuals and teams understand how to turn fear into opportunity.
Character: The starting point
for inclusion | TEDxPretoria
Check out my TEDx talk where I emphasize the importance of Human Character in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts. I believe that progress in DEI initiatives, despite significant investments, is slow because the root issue, unrefined/ignored Human Character. Our character, which forms the basis of judgment, decision-making, and behavior, is crucial in creating truly diverse and inclusive organizations. I will always advocate for a shift from merely practicing inclusion to fully embodying inclusivity. It all starts with Human Character.
